Introduction to the Dynamic Vendor Roster Dashboard

The Dynamic Vendor Roster Dashboard (DVR Dashboard) provides a high level overview of your vendor portfolio and allows you to make risk-based decisions on where to focus risk remediation efforts. 

CORL has developed sectors specific to the healthcare industry and assigned each vendor to one or more sectors. 

Vendors are ranked based on the likelihood that a breach will affect your business operations and the likelihood that the breach will occur.

Impact and likelihood are also defined for each sector. 

The initial rankings are conservative. As you complete more assessments, the rankings will become more refined and could go up or could go down. 

Use the DVR Dashboard to determine which vendors to assess based on risk. In the event of a breach, using this risk-based methodology will also assist you dealing with regulatory body questions.

Access the DVR Dashboard

  1. Navigate to Vendors > Dynamic Vendor Roster.
  2. Select Vendor Roster to view the risk across all vendors and business sectors. For more information, see Vendor Roster Page.
  3. Click Select Vendor Details to drill down into an individual vendors. For more information, see Vendor Details Page.

Tip: You can drill through the Vendor Roster page to the Vendor Details page, or you can navigate directly to the page.

Understanding Filters and Visuals

You can use the filters to change the data that displays. You can either search for a specific value or you can select from the list that displays.

The filters available depend on the page but all filters work the same way.

The visuals are interactive. Selecting an element in a visual is the same as applying a filter. For example, selecting a specific Sector Group in a visual is the same as selecting that Sector Group from the filter.

Filters

You can use visuals to drill down into the data. For example, you can select a Sector Group to see which Sectors and Vendors are in that group. The DVR Dashboard updates each time you make a selection. 

  1. To use a filter, click the down arrow and select one or more options from the list. If the list is long, you can start to type in Search value.

  1. To clear the filter, choose Select all from the list or click the ellipsis (...) and select Reset.

  1. If you have set multiple filters, and want to clear all the filters, click the refresh button at the top left of the DVR Dashboard.

Common Dashboard Behaviors

The DVR Dashboard is interactive and allows you to sort, filter, and interact with the visualizations to obtain a clear picture of vendor risk.

All the visuals behave the same way. This section explains how to interact with the visuals.

  1. You can hover over visuals to view more detailed information.

View Details

  1. To expand a visual, hover over the upper right corner and click the double arrow.

Maximize Visual

  1. To collapse an expanded visual, hover over the upper right corner and click the double arrow.

Minimize Visual

  1. To View summary data or Export to CSV, click the ellipsis (...).

Visual Menu Options

  1. For visuals in table format, you can click the table header to sort on that column.

Table Width

  1. You can change the width of a table column by dragging the column separator.

Column Width

  1. You can change the height of table row by dragging the row separator.
